The University of La Laguna, through its Sports Service, will open the registration period for guided activities and the fitness and cardio room on Wednesday, September 30th at 9:00 AM. These registrations are for the first quarter of the 2026-2027 academic year.
The program, part of the ULL–Cabildo de Tenerife University Sport initiative, includes over thirty sports modalities that will take place between October 1st and December 22nd. The offering is structured into five main blocks: choreographed guided activities, body-mind, sports activities, toning, and traditional Canarian indigenous games and sports. Additionally, the fitness and cardio room will be available with auxiliary staff.
Registration will be conducted online through the Sports Service platform and will remain open until November 30th, subject to availability, with places awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Within choreographed guided activities, the program includes aerodance, Latin dances, urban dances, and dance fitness, with various groups and schedules. The body-mind section offers core, corrective gymnastics, joint mobility, tai chi, yoga, and dynamic yoga. The sports program includes disciplines such as badminton, basketball, self-defense for women, climbing, football, futsal, introduction to popular running, jiu jitsu, judo, paddle tennis, tennis, table tennis, rugby, ultimate, and volleyball, with different groups and levels.
The toning offer includes outdoor training Grubox, functional training (with a new specific group for sedentary individuals this course), high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and total training. The program also reserves a specific space for promoting indigenous Canarian games and sports, including Canarian wrestling and lucha del garrote.
The fitness and cardio room will have extended hours, allowing use on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM. There is also a morning option available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until 3:30 PM and Tuesdays and Thursdays until 1:30 PM. Usage will be limited to a maximum of one and a half continuous hours per day if maximum capacity is reached.
