The seminar, titled “From Conversational AI to AI That Works With You. Agentic Artificial Intelligence for Scientific Research and University Teaching,” is specifically aimed at university faculty, research staff, and doctoral students.
The training will be led by Antonio Julio López Galisteo, a titular professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University. Over two practical sessions, participants will explore the applications of tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini Notebook in both university research and teaching tasks.
The first session, on Thursday, October 8 (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM), will focus on agentic artificial intelligence for scientific research. Topics include using AI for scientific literature inquiry, employing specialized connectors, creating skills for expert review of scientific articles, developing personal research environments, and building AI agents for research work.
The second session, on Friday, October 9 (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM), will concentrate on the applications of agentic artificial intelligence for university teaching. It will cover creating educational materials within a pedagogical framework, enhancing teaching resources through AI tool projects, implementing the Socratic method with artificial intelligence, and strategies for fostering appropriate use of these technologies to support student study and learning.
The seminar will adopt a practical approach, combining demonstrations, case studies, and hands-on activities allowing attendees to directly experiment with the presented tools and procedures.
Participation is free, but places are limited, requiring prior registration through the TECNOEDU Chair website. A certificate of attendance will be issued upon completion, and those who meet the established requirements can also obtain a certificate of completion.
Through this initiative, the TECNOEDU Chair continues to promote training for the university community on the new uses of artificial intelligence, particularly the possibilities offered by agentic AI systems to support and transform processes associated with scientific research and university education.
