This Monday marks the start of the year's third Grand Slam, Wimbledon, with the initial matches of the main men's and women's draws.

The opening day of Wimbledon will feature prominent figures such as Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka, and Coco Gauff. Up to eight Spanish players will begin their tournament journey this Monday.
Among the Spanish contingent is Rafa Jódar, who entered the tournament at the last minute after recovering from an abdominal injury. His performance on grass is uncertain, as he has not played professional matches on this surface. He will debut against British player Felix Gill, considered to be of a lower level, which could help him gain rhythm.
Seven other Spanish players will compete this Monday. Alejandro Davidovich will face Juan Manuel Cerúndolo, who defeated Sinner at Roland Garros. Davidovich arrives in London with high morale after winning his first ATP title in Mallorca. Grass has always suited him well. The young talents Martín Landaluce and Dani Mérida, along with Pablo Carreño and Roberto Bautista, are also in action. Bautista will play against Brazilian Joao Fonseca, while Carreño aims for his first victory on London soil.
In the women's draw, Jéssica Bouzas and Sara Sorribes will make their grass-court debut. Bouzas will aim to replicate last year's performance, reaching the round of 16. Sorribes returns to Wimbledon after a two-year absence due to mental health reasons.

"I think I am better prepared here than at Roland Garros. Also, playing on grass compared to clay requires less physical effort, and that helps me. I have always loved playing on grass, I have a great history here at Wimbledon, and that gives me confidence."

Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic will face seemingly manageable opponents in their respective opening matches. Sinner will play against Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic, while Djokovic will face China's Yibing Wu. Other players like Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, and Andrey Rublev will also be competing for a spot in the second round.
Djokovic is aiming to win his 25th Grand Slam title and is confident in his chances at Wimbledon, a surface that holds fond memories and where he feels assured.
