The Canary Archipelago is bracing for a week dominated by strong winds, accompanied by rising temperatures and adverse sea conditions, according to forecasts from AEMET.

This Monday, Tenerife will experience a significant increase in wind intensity, with very strong northeasterly gusts. This phenomenon will be coupled with a slight rise in temperatures in the island's inland areas. The day will be characterized by cloudy skies in the north, with the possibility of weak and occasional rainfall in the mid-slopes during the morning, while the summits and southern slopes will enjoy clearer skies.
Minimum temperatures will remain stable, but maximums will show a slight increase in mid-slopes and high areas, which could be more noticeable on the southern slope. In the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, temperatures will range between 17 and 22 degrees Celsius. The northeasterly wind will blow with moderate intensity, but with strong intervals and very strong gusts, especially in the northwest, the southeast slope, and high areas such as the dorsal mountain range.
The rest of the Canary Islands will also feel the effects of this weather pattern. In Gran Canaria, clouds are expected in the north with a low probability of weak rainfall, while the rest of the island will have partly cloudy skies and a thermal rise in mid-slopes, especially in the southwest. La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro will see cloudy intervals in the north during early and late hours, with some weak rain possible, and temperatures slightly increasing in high and mid-slope areas.
Meanwhile, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will start Monday with cloudiness at dawn, giving way to partly cloudy skies, with maximums slightly increasing inland and strong winds in exposed areas. Sea conditions will be complicated throughout the archipelago, with northeasterly winds of force 5 to 6, increasing locally, generating rough seas and even very rough seas. Additionally, a northern or northwestern swell is expected to reach 3 to 4 meters during the afternoon.
