The municipality of El Paso begins this Tuesday, September 15th, the enrollment period for the 2026-2027 Municipal Cultural Promotion Workshops and Schools. This initiative aims to provide new learning and artistic development opportunities for citizens.
Mayor Eloy Martín highlighted the importance of these training spaces, which receive great interest each year. "They allow our residents to start in music, theater, and singing, as well as to connect with our traditions and folklore, in a close and quality environment," he stated. He added that they are "reference spaces that we continue to care for and improve each course."
For her part, the Councilor for Culture, Irinova Hernández, pointed out that the goal is "for everyone to find a proposal that fits their interests, with options for different ages and profiles." She emphasized that "what is developed in the classrooms goes far beyond the classes and rehearsals themselves: it constitutes a fundamental part of the municipality's cultural life."
Both municipal officials valued the work of the teaching staff, monitors, students, and families, "which allow these proposals to continue growing and for all the work done to be shared with the community."
The registration period begins on September 15th. Interested individuals can obtain more information and complete enrollment through the Culture Department of the El Paso City Council, by calling 922 48 51 30, extension 210.
The offerings include the Municipal Music Workshop (for ages 6 and up) with instrumental specialties such as Clarinet, Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Tuba, Oboe, Trombone, Double Bass, and Percussion, in addition to Music Theory, Harmony, Musical Analysis, and Music Initiation.
The Municipal String Workshop (for ages 7 and up) is also offered, featuring Timple, Guitar, Lute, and Bass, focused on progressive learning.
The Municipal Theater School is aimed at children, youth, and adults, fostering expression, communication, and group stage work.
Finally, the Coral Nuestra Señora del Pino invites people to join the choir to enjoy and learn choral music during the new academic year.
