The Vintage Car Club of El Paso – La Palma is taking a prominent role in the Fiestas in honor of Nuestra Señora del Pino with three special proposals. This year's program holds particular significance as it coincides with the commemoration of its 40th Anniversary.
The mayor of El Paso, Eloy Martín Barreto, highlighted the club's trajectory, considering it part of the municipality's identity and a keeper of the passion for vintage vehicles. He noted that their presence at the Fiestas del Pino is a tradition and that this year marks their 40 years of history.
The Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Irinova Hernández, thanked the club for its constant commitment to the municipality and its festivities, valuing its ability to bring the world of classic automobiles closer to new generations. She invited residents and visitors to enjoy the three scheduled events.
The first event will be on Friday, August 28, at 9:00 PM, with the Auto Cine Retro on Avenida Islas Canarias, near the Health Center. The film “Vacation in Rome” will be screened, and attendees are encouraged to come dressed in 1950s-inspired attire.
On Saturday, August 29, at 8:00 PM, the photographic exhibition “40 Years of the Vintage Car Club El Paso – La Palma” will open at Calle Manuel Taño, in the Bar Central. The exhibition, featuring the work of photographer José Carlos Martín, can be visited until September 5 and is supported by the El Paso City Council and Sodepal.
The program continues on Sunday, August 30, starting at 10:30 AM, with the XXII Insular Concentration of Classic Vehicles, to be held on Avenida Islas Canarias. This edition will feature a live broadcast by Rumberos FM.
