The El Paso City Council has launched a new call for educational grants and aid for the 2026-2027 academic year, offering financial support to the municipality's students and their families.

The call includes transportation aid of up to 600 euros for university students studying outside of La Palma and 400 euros for those studying within the archipelago. Subsidies for the purchase of textbooks and school supplies are also included.
This aid is aimed at students from First and Second Cycles of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, ESO, Bachillerato, and Intermediate and Higher Vocational Training Cycles, thus covering all educational stages.

"Education is a priority for this City Council, and this aid is part of a commitment that is maintained year after year with our students and their families."

Eloy Martín · Mayor of El Paso

"These grants allow us to be close to our schoolchildren throughout their educational journey. From early childhood to university and vocational studies, we continue to respond to the needs of families and support their efforts each academic year."

Teresa Hernández · Councillor for Education
In the previous call (2025-2026 academic year), 354 grants were awarded with an investment exceeding 75,000 euros. A notable feature of this aid is that it is managed and granted during the school year itself, speeding up receipt by families.

"We hope to exceed the figures from the previous call again this year, so we encourage you to consult the call's guidelines and submit your applications within the established deadlines."
