Five Injured in Head-on Collision in El Paso

Five individuals were affected this Saturday afternoon following a head-on collision between two vehicles on the LP-3 road, at kilometer 24, in the municipality of El Paso, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The incident, which occurred after 4:00 PM, mobilized various emergency resources to attend to those involved and secure the accident site.
Among those affected were four adults, three women and one man, who presented with moderate chest pain and whiplash, without serious complications. Additionally, a minor required medical evaluation. All injured parties were transported by the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) to the Hospital Universitario de La Palma for specialized care.
The Firefighters were responsible for securing the vehicles involved in the collision and actively collaborated with the other emergency teams. The Civil Guard regulated traffic on the road to prevent further incidents and prepared the corresponding report. Finally, personnel from the Road Conservation Service carried out cleaning tasks on the roadway to restore normal traffic flow.
