The Los Llanos de Aridane City Council has initiated a new subsidy program, totaling 60,000 euros, to boost the activities of neighborhood associations and enhance coexistence within the municipality.

This initiative aims to promote citizen participation and collective well-being, recognizing the fundamental role these organizations play in the life of the neighborhoods. The aid is intended for legally constituted, non-profit associations that develop projects within the territorial scope of Los Llanos de Aridane.

"Associations are the first meeting point for many neighborhoods. They energize, care for, and generate community, and from the Los Llanos de Aridane City Council, we have the responsibility to support them and facilitate their continued work."

Javier Llamas · Mayor of Los Llanos de Aridane
The mayor, Javier Llamas, highlighted the importance of this collaboration between the administration and associations, noting that many neighborhood initiatives achieve an impact that municipal management cannot always reach. This synergy is crucial for building a municipality more connected with its inhabitants.

"We are talking about cultural, social, and participatory activities that not only improve coexistence but also strengthen the identity of each neighborhood."

José Arón León · Councillor for Citizen Participation
For his part, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, José Arón León, emphasized the need to provide stability to these entities. He reminded that the subsidy allocation process is transparent, evaluating projects based on their real impact on the municipality and prioritizing initiatives with greater reach and transformative capacity. The guidelines and documentation are available on the electronic headquarters of the Los Llanos de Aridane City Council.
