Tourism Councilor Inmaculada Fernández stated that the sculpture "helps us bring life to a neighborhood that needs these kinds of impulses and attractions to continue recovering its activity." She added that La Bombilla has a unique identity and history, and the goal is for these actions to contribute to its revival while respecting its essence.
Gustavo Díaz explained that the work is not isolated but part of a geolocated artistic itinerary across several points on the island, featuring small sustainable art interventions integrated into the landscape.
The piece includes a QR code that links to a website with detailed information about the sculpture and the other works within the ‘Caminarte’ project.
This inauguration marks a new step in the recovery and transformation process of La Bombilla, incorporating art as a means of connecting with the environment and valuing this unique coastal space of Los Llanos de Aridane.
