Nearly thirty seniors from the Antón Guanche Association participated on October 31st in a sustainable gardening and coexistence day in Candelaria, organized as part of the Candelaria 2026 Environmental Volunteering Program.

The activity, held in the center's planters, allowed attendees to learn various sustainable gardening practices and actively participate in planting aromatic species and native flora.
The event was attended by the Councilor for Environment, Maeva Tendero, who joined the participants and gave an environmental awareness talk focused on fostering respect for the environment and the importance of adopting sustainable daily habits.
This environmental volunteering program is an initiative of the Environment Department of the Candelaria City Council, in collaboration with the Office of Environmental Participation and Volunteering of the Cabildo de Tenerife. Its aim is to promote citizen involvement in environmental care and conservation.
