The project, awarded to Construplan y Planificación S.L.U., aims for a comprehensive improvement of the area, prioritizing accessibility and the renewal of infrastructure and services.
The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, highlighted that this project, which has been in development for years, represents a firm step towards fulfilling commitments to the citizens and making the improvement of this public space a reality.
Key works include enhancing accessibility to bridge the level difference between the street and the beach, repaving the entire beach promenade, resurfacing the street, and repaving the sidewalk of La Piscina street.
The project also incorporates vegetation and lighting, resolves the drainage system for La Piscina street, relocates showers, and comprehensively improves services such as water supply, irrigation, sewage connections, low voltage, and telecommunications.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Reinaldo Triviño, stated that the intervention will cover an area of approximately 2,600 square meters and that the awarded company will have eight months to complete the works after the contract is formalized.
This initiative is part of the Candelaria City Council's strategy to modernize its public spaces, enhancing the accessibility, functionality, and services of the Olegario Beach promenade.
