Pugilist Patricia Martín Cabrera from Candelaria will compete in the Spanish Women's Championship in the Superwelter category this Saturday, October 10th, at 7:30 PM, at the Pabellón Rosendo Alonso Tapia in Candelaria. Martín's presence in the national title fight marks a milestone for the municipality's sports scene and reflects the grassroots work done by local clubs.
The event is organized by the Honey Boxing Club, an entity from Candelaria, which will complete the card with other bouts featuring boxers from the club itself, thus showcasing the level and potential of the local athletes.
As a prelude to the championship, this Thursday, October 8th, at 8:00 PM, the Punta Larga Shopping Center will host the official presentation of the sporting event. The ceremony will be attended by the president of the Canarian Boxing Federation, Juan Tomás Rodríguez Tejera; boxers Patricia Martín and Patricia González; and coaches Rodrigo Leonel and Jonay Negrín.
The Candelaria City Council encourages citizens to attend the pavilion to support Patricia Martín and the boxers from the Honey Boxing Club at this event.
