The Canary Islands Police Canine Unit, along with a dozen officers, visited pediatric patients at the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital in Tenerife, offering them a fun and different morning.

The child patients at the hospital, affiliated with the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Health, enjoyed an activity designed to introduce them to the police force's work and make their stay more pleasant. The visit included a demonstration by the Canine Unit outside the complex.
The hospitalized children got a close look at the work of the police dogs and their handlers, discovering some of their duties. The officers also allowed the children to climb into police cars and motorcycles, one of the most anticipated moments of the day.
At the end of the exhibition, the officers toured the Day Hospital and the Inpatient Area. There, they presented a gift to the twenty-eight admitted patients, aiming to help make their hospitalization more bearable.
