The Candelaria City Council hosts the opening of the exhibition and the awards ceremony for the 3rd edition of the Tamaimos Awards for Experimental Proposals using Local Clay.

The municipality of Candelaria will host this Friday, July 17, at 7:00 PM, the opening of the exhibition and the awards ceremony for the third edition of the Tamaimos Awards for Experimental Proposals using Local Clay. The event will take place in the town hall's main hall.
The exhibition will feature the works submitted in this edition and will be open to the public during several periods. From July 20 to 24, visitors can enjoy the exhibition from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Subsequently, from July 28 to August 7, the hours will be in the mornings, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with closures on August 1 and 2.
The awards will be presented in two main categories: professional and student/amateur. Each category will have three modalities: the 1st Professional Award for Experimentation with Local Clay, the Professional Award for Design, and the Professional Award for Experimentation. In the student/amateur category, the 1st Student/Amateur Award for Experimentation with Local Clay, the Student/Amateur Award for Design, and the Student/Amateur Award for Experimentation will be given.
The jury for this edition includes ceramist Ernesto Rodríguez, potter Isabel Miranda Galindo, designer and sculptor Mauricio Jiménez, Councillor for Culture Manuel González, and the representative of the Fundación Canaria Tamaimos and jury secretary, Raúl Guanche. The general coordination of the initiative is managed by Stefany Baute, from Varabara Creative People.
The exhibition will maintain its morning and afternoon hours next week. Later, it will be reduced to morning hours until Tuesday, August 4, when a guided tour and a round table with the Award participants will be held, after which the exhibition will close.
