Candelaria City Council has recorded a significant increase in bulky waste collection during the first eight months of 2026. A total of 186,260 kilos were removed, surpassing the 154,080 kilos from the same period last year. This figure represents an increase of 32,180 kilos, or 20.88% more.
The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, highlighted the importance of this municipal service, emphasizing that it "facilitates the proper management of items that, due to their characteristics, should not be disposed of with domestic waste".

Brito reminded that the City Council offers a free bulky waste collection service, which requires a prior request. "We want citizens to have all the information to use this resource in the simplest and most appropriate way," she pointed out.
To request a collection, it is necessary to contact the phone number 922 889 461 in advance. The service operates from Monday to Saturday, excluding holidays, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Pre-scheduling collections aims to optimize service organization and help maintain the municipality's public spaces in good condition.
The City Council will continue to monitor the service and the volumes collected as part of its municipal efforts to improve waste management and foster a cleaner, more sustainable municipality.
