The works will span seven working days, from Monday to Friday, between 07:00 and 16:00 hours. Barring unforeseen incidents, the street is expected to be fully restored and reopened to traffic by August 18.
This action is a response to the high number of breakdowns in the current network, which has reached the end of its service life. The right-hand side network will be replaced with a new polyethylene pressure pipe (PN25) with a 63 mm diameter, extending approximately 142 linear meters. The project includes cutting and removing asphalt, excavating the trench, installing the new pipe, backfilling and compacting, and finally, the definitive resurfacing of the road.
During the construction period, parking on the street will be prohibited to avoid interrupting the work. Traffic will be maintained, as far as possible, on the left-hand side to allow residents access to their garages. Those with access on the right-hand side must remove their vehicles before the works begin, as vehicular access will not be possible while the work is underway.
Designated areas will be established for the storage of machinery, materials, and debris containers. Therefore, residents are requested to respect the provisional signage, cordoned-off areas, and instructions from the construction personnel.
The Candelaria City Council apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation in this essential action to ensure a safer and more reliable water supply.
