A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Güímar, Tenerife, as the alleged perpetrator of 20 property crimes, including vehicle and commercial burglaries, some committed with violence.

Civil Guard officers from the Güímar Post have arrested a 25-year-old resident of the municipality, suspected of being responsible for 20 property offenses. The investigation clarifies 17 counts of burglary in vehicles and three commercial robberies, some involving violence or intimidation, incidents that had caused significant public alarm among residents.
The police work began after complaints were filed by victims, allowing officers to identify a consistent modus operandi across the different types of crimes. In violent or intimidating robberies, the detainee entered establishments during the day, threatening workers with a large knife to steal cash registers. In other incidents, he primarily operated at night, breaking vehicle windows with a screwdriver and targeting closed businesses to steal personal belongings and cash.
Following various operational efforts, officers successfully identified, located, and apprehended the alleged perpetrator, who has prior police records for similar offenses. The arrested individual, along with the compiled case file, has been handed over to the competent judicial authority.
