The training, part of the camp's activity program which began on July 1, was adapted to the age of the attendees and considered the camp's coastal location. It practically covered initial emergency response under the motto 'protect, alert, and assist', communication with emergency services, and basic first aid for wounds, stings, bruises, and falls.
The Councilor for Youth, Maeva Tendero, highlighted the initiative's importance, stating, "Knowing how to act in the first minutes of an emergency is one of the best tools we can put in the hands of our youth."
The course also included accident prevention on the beach and an introduction to CPR, with practical simulations and teamwork to reinforce learning.
