The mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, and the councilor for Municipal Services, Domingo García, have reported on the collection of bulky waste deposited on public roads during the first eight months of 2026. A total of 499,000 kilos have been removed by the free service of Realserv.
The council reminds the public of the service's free nature and urges citizens to contact Realserv in advance at 922.23.89.98 to arrange the collection point, day, and time. The aim is to ensure the municipality's health and hygiene.
Adolfo González thanked citizens for their civic-mindedness in following the protocol but warned that irregular situations persist, with bulky items being left on the street without prior notice and in inappropriate locations, which violates the municipal ordinance and may result in sanctions and fines.
Domingo García added that when requesting collection, it is important to detail the type and volume of the items to help coordinate the transport service and ensure its proper execution.
The councilor for Municipal Services recalled that the disposal of construction debris and polluting waste is prohibited, as specified by the ordinance.
The bulky waste collected by Realserv is transferred to the corresponding island clean point. For more urgent needs, individuals can take items directly to the regional clean point located in the San Jerónimo Industrial Estate, in La Orotava, open Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00 and Sundays from 08:00 to 14:00.
