The exhibition «Libertad», by artist Sarah Curtenaz, is on display at the Exhibition Hall of the House of Culture of San Agustín in La Orotava, from September 4 to 24, 2026.
Curtenaz, born in France, establishes a dialogue with the ideal of Liberté, transforming her memory into a contemporary language. The exhibition explores freedom as an intimate and universal experience.
The color red is prominent, evoking blood, strength, creation, and femininity. The extended hand symbolizes affirmation, resistance, and pays homage to the spirit of the French Revolution and the memory of pioneering women.
The artist works from gesture and intuition, using the body as a creative instrument and painting as an extension of emotion. Each canvas retains the imprint of that creative moment.
The exhibition's opening will take place on Friday, September 4, at 6:00 PM.
The exhibition can be visited from Mondays to Fridays, between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
