The contract will be carried out through an open procedure, advance processing, and harmonized regulation. The objective is to guarantee the availability, safety, traceability, and energy efficiency of medicinal and non-medicinal gas installations and services twenty-four hours a day in all centers belonging to the complex.
This includes the University Hospital of Canarias, the Specialized Care Centers (CAE) of La Laguna, La Orotava, Icod-Hospital del Norte, and Puerto de la Cruz, the External Mental Health Area, and the subacute and rehabilitation hospitalization units.
The tender includes essential complementary services for the adequate control and maintenance of gas installations, such as temperature systems, supplies, consumption, cylinders with regulators, updating of plans, maintenance of vacuum units at HUC and Hospital del Norte, the necessary computer application for product traceability, and preventive and corrective maintenance of the central units and analysis of medicinal and non-medicinal gas outlets.
This aims to ensure care continuity, quality of healthcare services, patient and staff safety, as well as the optimization of technical and energy resources related to the management of medicinal gases in all centers dependent on the CHUC.
Medicinal gases play a fundamental role in medicine and are used for therapeutic or diagnostic purposes, employed in inhalation therapies, anesthesia, or for preserving and transporting organs, tissues, and cells for transplants.
