The project, which received a regional subsidy of 33,600 euros and a municipal contribution of 14,400 euros, has enabled the replacement of street signs, the installation of directional posts for traffic and pedestrians, information totems, interpretive photos, and plaques on the facades of historic houses.
The mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, accompanied by the Councilor for Commerce, Natalia Díaz, and the head of the awarded company Lhorsa Arte & Eventos, Manuel Jesús Hernández González, visited the commercial area of La Cruz Santa to oversee the results.
Adolfo González expressed gratitude for the subsidy programs from the Government of the Canary Islands, through its General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption, which facilitate co-financing of municipal projects aimed at improving open commercial areas, thereby standardizing the urban image and that of tourist and heritage resources.
The mayor highlighted the work carried out by municipal staff in managing the subsidy application process, which aids in attracting external investment for projects in Los Realejos.
Natalia Díaz explained that the new signage helps to reorganize consumer flows, promotes awareness of heritage and tourist resources, and enhances accessibility, comfort, and safety for residents and visitors.
The interventions were carried out in the commercial area of La Cruz Santa on Real, Puldón, Puldón Natero, and Carretera Nueva streets. In the Toscal Longuera area, actions focused on El Castillo, El Monturrio, La Longuera, and El Toscal streets.
