Participation in this short story contest, organized by the Fasnia Town Hall, is completely free. The stories must be original, unpublished, and not have been previously published or awarded in other contests.
This year's central theme is "The Trees". Works promoting criminal, denigrating, or violent acts will be automatically disqualified. Each author may submit only one story.
The contest is divided into three categories based on age: under 12 years old, between 13 and 17 years old, and over 18 years old. Formats vary in length, from one page for the youngest participants to four for adults, and submissions are accepted both in print and electronic format.
Electronic submissions should be sent to cuentamefasnia@fasnia.com. Print submissions can be delivered to the CEO Guajara, the Libraries of La Zarza and Fasnia, or the Ludotecas La Luna Azul and El Búho Sabio.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The top two finishers in each category will receive a book bundle and a certificate.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 22, at 5:30 PM in the hall of the old town hall, during the presentation of the "Festival Cuéntame Fasnia". The jury, composed of individuals linked to culture, will issue an unappealable verdict.
The organization reserves the right to publish and disseminate the participating works. Participation in the contest implies acceptance of these rules.
