Wines and agri-food products from the Canary Islands have collectively earned 57 medals at the twenty-second edition of the CINVE competition, reinforcing their international prestige.

The Canary Archipelago has made a significant mark on the international stage with an outstanding performance at the prestigious CINVE competition. In this edition, the winemaking and agri-food products from the islands have accumulated a total of 57 medals, showcasing the excellence of their production.
The wine sector was the main highlight, securing 52 awards, which represents an increase of 16 medals compared to the previous edition. These recognitions are complemented by awards for two spirits, a vermouth, a cider, and an olive oil. A sector spokesperson emphasized that this outcome confirms the “enormous quality” of Canarian production and its growing visibility in international markets.

The CINVE competition gathered nearly a thousand samples from various countries such as Argentina, Germany, Mexico, France, and Greece. In this competitive environment, the Canary Islands achieved 21 Grand Gold, 29 Gold, and 7 Silver medals, solidifying their position in the overall medal count.
Among the most prominent categories were still white wines, where Canarian wineries earned nine Grand Gold medals. Additionally, five Grand Gold medals were awarded for still red wines and one Grand Gold for a rosé. Sparkling and sweet wines also received top honors with several Grand Gold awards.
A Canarian vermouth was honored with the sole Grand Gold in its category. The list of Gold and Silver medals extends to various still white, red, and rosé wines, as well as spirits, ciders, and extra virgin olive oil, reflecting the diversity and quality of the islands' agri-food products.
