The San Miguel de Abona City Council is implementing a new municipal service starting September 14th for identity verification, facilitating the acquisition of the Digital Certificate for Individuals from the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT).

Residents of the municipality, known as sanmigueleros and sanmigueleras, will be able to complete this essential procedure at the Citizen Service Centers (SAC) in San Miguel and Las Chafiras.
The digital certificate is a fundamental tool that allows for secure identification and the completion of numerous electronic procedures with Public Administrations. Its uses include submitting applications, consulting files, obtaining certificates, managing tax matters, and electronically signing documents.
Once obtained, citizens will be able to carry out many of these tasks from the comfort of their homes or mobile devices, securely and without needing to travel to administrative offices.
This initiative is part of the municipal objective to move towards a more accessible, digital, and citizen-friendly Administration, offering more services without leaving the municipality of San Miguel de Abona.
