The Specialized Service for the Attention of Children, Adolescents, and Families in San Miguel de Abona has received an award from the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP). This recognition highlights the work carried out in promoting positive parenting.
The municipal initiative aims to offer support and tools to families to navigate the different stages of upbringing, fostering relationships based on respect and communication.
The local government is actively working on preventing risk situations and strengthening parental capacities, prioritizing the well-being of minors.
“"Behind this recognition is a team of professionals who work every day to be close to our families, listen to their needs, and offer them support and resources."
“"Positive parenting means supporting families, providing them with tools, and creating spaces where they can face the challenges of raising children with greater security and confidence."
This work is part of the City Council's strategy to implement social policies that are close, preventive, and people-centered, with a special focus on protecting children's rights and family well-being.
