This recognition pays tribute to and acknowledges the memory of residents Julio González Sánchez, Geni Afonso Perdomo, and Domingo Morales Vera. The initiative, championed by the third deputy mayor, Tarsis Morales, and promoted by a group of residents with the backing of the Bienmesabe Cultural Association, received unanimous support from all political forces in the local council.
In accordance with the Special Regulation on Honors, Distinctions, and Ceremonial of the City Council, the process is initiated for the placement of a commemorative plaque at the chosen location. This space, adjacent to Santa Catalina Square, will serve as a permanent stage for admiration and gratitude for the dedication that González, Afonso, and Morales always offered to Tacoronte.
Furthermore, Mayor Sandra Izquierdo was appointed as the instructor for the procedure, in her capacity as head of the Culture Department.
