The session, taking place from 08:00 to 14:00 hours at the Tacoronte Farmers' Market, is open to all farmers. Its purpose is to detail the project's objectives and the procedure for participating in the campaign.
A second session is scheduled for September 12th, when samples will be collected. These samples will help understand the specific conditions of each plot and tailor them to particular needs, thereby increasing productivity and efficiency.
The initiative includes a comprehensive analysis of the physical, chemical, and nutritional characteristics of agricultural soils. It also features a specific evaluation of vineyards, examining both the soil and the nutritional status of the plants, alongside an analysis of irrigation water quality.
Through this project, the Tacoronte City Council reaffirms its commitment to the primary sector. It seeks to promote the application of scientific knowledge to address current agricultural challenges, thereby fostering the sustainability and competitiveness of local farms.
This collaboration is undertaken with the IPNA-CSIC, an institution providing the scientific foundation for the campaign's development.
