A traffic accident on Más de Gaminde street, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, has highlighted the presence of a vehicle operating without mandatory insurance or a valid Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV).

The Local Police from the Puerto district responded on Tuesday after being alerted to a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the aforementioned street. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no personal injuries for either of the drivers involved, despite the apparent severity of the crash.
During a routine check of the involved vehicles' documentation, officers discovered that one of the cars lacked both mandatory insurance and a valid ITV. This serious irregularity led to the issuance of official reports and financial penalties.
The owner of the offending vehicle now faces vehicle immobilization and administrative fines totaling over 1,700 euros. The police intervention underscores the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to ensure road safety.
