The event, which took place on September 16 and 17, brought together over 2,000 participants from 80 countries. This biennial meeting, focused on the Mediterranean cruise industry, was held for the first time in its history within a port facility, utilizing the new cruise terminal as the main venue.
The influx of international delegates resulted in high hotel occupancy and a notable increase in activity across the restaurant, retail, and transport sectors in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Puerto-Canteras area was one of the points where this constant flow of visitors was most evident.
During the sessions, industry leaders addressed strategic pillars such as sustainability, innovation in ship design, and the diversification of itineraries. The port infrastructure was highlighted for its operational capacity and efficiency, establishing itself as a benchmark for major cruise lines and global tour operators.
