The agreement stipulates that Ecuaru will provide the northern council with twelve image capture and recording devices free of charge. These devices will be used for surveillance and traffic control within this significant industrial zone of Arucas.
Following a favorable report from the Local Police Headquarters, the City Council will authorize the installation of cameras at seven strategic points within the park. This area hosts numerous companies involved in production, distribution, and storage.
The implementation of this video surveillance system aims to optimize traffic flow in the industrial park, which experiences considerable daily movement of heavy vehicles and cars. The goal is to improve fluidity for supplying companies, customers, and the personnel working in Montaña Blanca.
This initiative responds to a demand expressed by the business sector of Montaña Blanca, which had requested increased surveillance and security in the industrial complex.
The conservation entity has secured a grant of 24,000 euros from the Cabildo's Industry Department to launch this device. It also aims to reduce incidents of theft and anti-social behavior, such as public drinking, particularly during times of lower activity.
The installations will comply with current data protection regulations, and visitors will be informed of their existence through signage. The cameras will not only serve as a deterrent but will also facilitate efficient analysis and management of traffic and incidents, such as public lighting issues or traffic accidents.
The experience gained at Cruz de La Gallina, in Jinámar, has served as motivation to extend video surveillance to other industrial parks and commercial areas on the island.
