Baleària Canarias has unveiled its ambitious operational plan for the summer of 2026, featuring the introduction of four new vessels and a significant enhancement of maritime connections across the archipelago.

The shipping company will deploy a fleet of 12 vessels to serve inter-island routes and connections with the mainland. Among the notable new additions are the fast ferries Mercedes Pinto and Pepita Castellví, the ferry Sicilia, and the new cargo vessel Josefina de la Torre. Additionally, the ferry Volcán de Tamadaba will return to reinforce services in Fuerteventura throughout the summer season.
The schedule will be implemented progressively. Starting June 5th, the daily ‘Las Tres en línea’ connection will launch between Morro Jable, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Operated by the Mercedes Pinto alongside the Volcán de Taidía and Volcán de Tagoro, it will offer 6 daily departures between Las Palmas and Tenerife, 3 between Morro Jable and Las Palmas, and 2 between Morro Jable and Tenerife, covering the journey in just over 4 hours. The route between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife will also see its conventional ferry service enhanced with two daily round trips.
From June 8th, connections in the eastern islands will be expanded. The ferry Sicilia will operate the daily route between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Arrecife de Lanzarote, while the Volcán de Tamadaba will return to the daily connection between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Puerto del Rosario.
On June 15th, the new Pepita Castellví and the Volcán de Tirajana will commence a triangular service connecting Los Cristianos, San Sebastián de La Gomera, and Santa Cruz de La Palma. Services between Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz de La Palma will double to two daily trips, and 4 daily services will run between Los Cristianos and San Sebastián de La Gomera.
Strategic reinforcement with the mainland will begin on July 1st, increasing weekly departures between Cádiz and the Canary Islands from 3 to 4, including a new direct connection between the port of Cádiz and Tenerife. The new cargo vessel Josefina de la Torre will join the route to meet freight demand.
The strategic Playa Blanca – Corralejo line will continue to be regularly served throughout the season by the recently remodeled ferry Volcán de Tindaya, offering 7 daily round trips. This deployment aims to reaffirm Baleària Canarias' commitment to territorial cohesion and improved connectivity.
