Buenas Migas, a new tapas bar on Galicia street in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is gaining popularity for its focus on vermouth and Madrid-style tapas.

Located at 8 Galicia street, near the Mercado Central in the Mesa y López area, Buenas Migas has opened its doors. Despite being inaugurated just a month ago, it has already become a local success. Its name reflects its ambition to be a meeting point, especially in the afternoons.
Although it initially opened in the morning, the owners soon realized that afternoons were its strong suit, becoming the preferred spot for groups of friends and colleagues to unwind after work. The establishment draws inspiration from Madrid's aesthetic and gastronomy, with vermouth as the star, complemented by offerings like gildas, tostas, and tortilla pinchos.
The vermouth selection, including 'La Chelo' and 'La Dolores', is paired with a variety of Iberian products. For cheeses, Buenas Migas relies on Canarian brands, using Bolaños cheese for its tapas and gildas. They also prioritize local sourcing, using kilometer-zero fruits and vegetables from the island, and featuring Canarian wines and distilled spirits from Tenerife.
In keeping with the traditional tasca style, the bar plans to soon introduce classic Madrid dishes such as patatas bravas and huevos rotos with Iberian ham, along with other gourmet items. The current menu boasts delights like langoustine Russian salad, various gildas, potato tortilla, and mussels served with a house-made sauce.
Among its signature dishes are the avocado and Iberian ham toast on rustic bread, the artisanal mussel pâté (made with Philadelphia cheese, butter, and crushed mussels), the potato tortilla skewer with cherry tomatoes and warm Iberian ham shavings, and a well-balanced tartar featuring onion, sun-dried tomato, and black olives.
