The municipal transport company of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will deploy a special operation for San Juan Night. The aim is to facilitate citizen travel to Las Canteras Beach, the main venue for the celebrations. An offering of 50,000 seats and increased frequencies will be available.
This operation, coordinated with other services of the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, will involve around thirty vehicles. These will operate from two key pick-up and drop-off points: Parque de Santa Catalina and the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus. The arrival service will commence late Tuesday afternoon and conclude in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
For access to the events, lines heading towards the Port will be intensified, including Line 1 (Teatro-Puerto), Line 2 (Guiniguada-Puerto via Tomás Morales), Line 12 (Hoya de la Plata-Puerto), Line 33 (Guiniguada-Puerto via Ciudad Alta), and Line 65 (midnight Puerto-Tamaraceite). Lines reinforced towards the Auditorium will be Line 17 (Teatro-Auditorio), Line 25 (Auditorio-University Campus), Line 32 (Guiniguada-Auditorio via San Antonio), and Line 65.
Following the end of the festivities, the departure service will begin in the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus area between 23:30 and 03:00. Four exclusive stops will be set up on José Sánchez Peñate avenue, next to the Las Arenas shopping center. From this special terminal, five special lines (Servicio Especial Noche de San Juan) will operate without their usual commercial routes, with frequencies adjusted to demand, heading to Teatro-Vegueta-Hoya de la Plata, La Feria-La Paterna, Escaleritas-Schamann-Las Rehoyas, Siete Palmas-Tamaraceite, and Puerto.
From Parque Santa Catalina, another traditional hub for the celebration, lines 12, 21/24, 22, 33, and 65 will be reinforced for attendees' departure. For safety reasons, the stops on Eduardo Benot street will be out of service from 23:45 onwards.
