A charity dinner will be held this Friday at the Jardines de la Marquesa in Arucas, Gran Canaria, to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation Spain and support Canarian families with children requiring medical treatment away from home.

The event, scheduled to start at 8:00 PM, is a joint initiative with the Foundation of the Inter-island Football Federation of Las Palmas (FIFLP) and the Rotary Club Ciudad de Arucas. The evening will combine gastronomy, live music featuring Fasur, a DJ session, raffles, and prize draws, all within an emblematic setting.

"We have been pleasantly surprised by the solidarity shown by Canarians in promoting and hosting this event. More than 270 people will attend this dinner, and we must first thank the FIFLP Foundation, because without them, this would not have been possible."

All proceeds will go directly to the projects of the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation Spain, which provides accommodation and support to families with hospitalized children who must travel for medical treatment. Furthermore, both foundations are actively collaborating on the potential establishment of the first Ronald McDonald House in the Canary Islands, with Gran Canaria being the likely location.
The need for such a facility became apparent following cases like that of a minor who required a bone marrow transplant in Madrid. This event, which fortunately had a positive outcome, spurred the idea of establishing a house in the archipelago to facilitate the relocation of families from other islands such as Lanzarote or Fuerteventura.

"Elías was the first child whose family we helped, and since then, several cases of minors linked to the world of football with other pathologies have been transferred to the Ronald House. We are very eager for this new facility to be built here, and I am sure we will achieve it."

the manager of the FIFLP Foundation
The manager of the FIFLP Foundation has emphasized the strengthened bond between both entities in advancing this project. The solidarity of the Canarian community has been crucial, with the involvement of national football figures who have supported the cause.
