During the parliamentary session held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the regional executive requested that political groups show a willingness to reach agreements. The main goal is to facilitate the approval of the law aimed at streamlining the processing of urban planning licenses, a measure considered key to boosting the construction of new properties.
The executive highlighted that this initiative is part of a plan launched to combat a situation that severely affects household economies. According to the data presented, many families must allocate more than 30% of their monthly income to cover basic expenses such as rent, mortgages, water supply, electricity, and community fees.

Currently, the Government of the Canary Islands has more than 4,000 public housing units under construction.
