The Telde City Council, through the councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Cristhian Santana Caballero, has congratulated the Harimaguada club for its recent promotion to the First Category of Bola Canaria. This achievement comes after securing a commendable second position in the decisive play-off matches for the Second Category title.
The final phase, organized by the Gran Canaria Insular Federation of Bola Canaria, took place on the courts of the Club del Carmen in Arguineguín. It featured the four teams vying for the two promotion spots to the top category: Santa Margarita, Harimaguada, La Ciel, and Vivemoya.
The Telde-based team showcased a strong performance, winning both their matches. This secured them a place in the championship final and, simultaneously, their qualification for the First Category and the regional phase.
Ultimately, the Santa Margarita team was crowned champion, followed by Harimaguada in second place. La Ciel secured third place, and Vivemoya finished fourth.
With this promotion, the Telde club will compete next season with two teams in the First Category, thereby consolidating the presence and growth of Bola Canaria in the island's top division.
