The festival, which kicks off at 7:00 PM at the Lomo del Cementerio court, has established itself over its five years as a benchmark for original music in the Canary Islands, positioning Telde as a key hub for live music in the archipelago.
Since its inception in 2022, the Lomo Rock Fest has maintained a clear philosophy: to exclusively promote music created in the Islands. For approximately eight hours, all musical programming, including concerts and the music between sets, will feature Canarian bands, highlighting local talent and creativity.
Attendees can enjoy performances by seven bands: Enac Ska, Underground Kombustible, Subresiduos, Skachaos, Enrale, Revenge and Desire, and Los Iguales, who represent the diversity and quality of the current rock, punk, ska, and metal scene in the Canary Islands.
The Telde City Council, through its Department of Culture, is collaborating on this event, reinforcing its support for cultural and musical initiatives that revitalize neighborhoods and showcase Canarian artistic talent.
The mayor of Telde, Juan Antonio Peña, emphasized the importance of continuing to support projects like the Lomo Rock Fest, which have grown and consolidated thanks to their commitment to Canarian musical talent and creation. He noted that Telde possesses immense cultural and artistic richness, and the council aims to support and collaborate with projects that create spaces for local musicians, energize neighborhoods, and offer diverse, high-quality cultural programming.
For his part, the Councilor for Culture, Juan Martel, added that the festival perfectly embodies this spirit, transforming the Lomo del Cementerio neighborhood into a meeting point for music and culture for a day, with a lineup that values the original creation from the Islands and demonstrates the vibrant, diverse, and promising future of the Canarian music scene.
After five editions, the Lomo Rock Fest has become more than just a festival; it is a cultural project that champions original music, fosters artistic creation, and showcases the high quality, unique identity, and promising future of the Canarian music scene, offering the public a unique experience where local talent takes center stage.
