The event, celebrating its 50th anniversary, concluded with a dramatic outcome. The gap between the top two contenders, Enrique Cruz (driving the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2) and Alexey Lukyanuk, was extremely narrow heading into the final timed stage.
Adding to the suspense, this final stage, the TC+, which also awards bonus points, was delayed by over twenty minutes, meaning competitors would start with cold tires. Although Lukyanuk won this stage by a single tenth of a second, the overall victory went to the DISA Copi Sport team by the slim margin of 2 tenths of a second.
What you call a heart-stopping finish.
The third step of the podium was secured by Yeray Lemes and Aitor Cambeiro in their Citroën C3 Rally2, who remained close to the battle for the win, finishing nearly a minute behind the leaders.
Regrettably, Benjamín Avella was forced to retire on the penultimate stage while contending for third place with his Alpine A110 GT+.
In fourth place overall were Sergio Fuentes and Tecorice Hernández with another Fabia RS Rally2 from the Skoda Canarias team, finishing 1 minute and 35 seconds behind the winner.
On their return to competition, Miguel Suárez and Eduardo González completed the rally without issues in their Citroën C3 Rally2, finishing 2 minutes and 6 seconds off the winner's pace.
Other notable participants included Raúl Quesada and Daniel Sosa in the Hyundai i20 R5, who battled throughout the day with Julián Falcón and Dani Rosario in a Skoda Fabia R5.
Young drivers Alejandro Martín and Cristina Cazorla, piloting a Peugeot 208 Rally4, achieved eighth overall, closely followed by Yoday Betancort and Daniela Betancort in another Peugeot 208 Rally4.
Anyelo Padrón and Narciso Pérez secured a top-ten finish with their BMW M3 E46, also winning their group in their second event with this vehicle.
