A group of 58 primary school students participated in a children's plenary session held at the Canary Islands Parliament, where they debated coexistence and digital risks.

The initiative, organized by Aldeas Infantiles SOS, allowed students from schools in Gran Canaria and Tenerife to occupy the chamber's seats. During the session, the children presented their proposals on how to improve social interaction in both physical and virtual environments.
The event was attended by the president of the Canary Islands Parliament and representatives from the organizing body. The debate focused on the Abraza tus Valores educational program, which for the 2025-26 academic year emphasizes the need for balance regarding the use of electronic devices.

"Bullying situations are more common than we think. With the use of social media, there are no longer any safe spaces."

Among the conclusions reached by the young deputies was the need to promote outdoor play over excessive screen time. Additionally, the importance of coexistence rules was highlighted as a fundamental tool to protect the rights of all members of society.
