Users of the Santa Brígida Municipal Senior Club have until August 26th and 27th to register for the special excursion «Vamos Pal’Pino». This day trip, designed for enjoying traditions, music, island scenery, and companionship, will take place on Saturday, August 29th.
Buses will depart at 8:00 AM from Llano de María Rivera, at 8:20 AM from La Atalaya, and subsequently at 9:00 AM from the Municipal Senior Club. The excursion will be enlivened by the group Dulce Cacao.
The route will take the group from Santa Brígida to Teror. There, one of the central moments of the day will occur: the encounter with the residents of the municipality who annually undertake the traditional pilgrimage on foot to the Villa Mariana. It will be an opportunity to share a few minutes with the walkers and join the festive atmosphere.
After the stop in Teror, the excursion will continue towards Valleseco. Afterwards, a lunch stop will be made at the Restaurante Balcón de Zamora, in an environment particularly linked to the traditions and landscapes of the midlands of Gran Canaria. Lunch will cost 16 euros per person, to be paid by each participant, and will include starters, a choice of first and second courses, dessert, and drinks.
In the afternoon, the day will continue in San Mateo, where participants can enjoy a dance, bringing a festive close to a day designed to combine tradition, neighborly encounters, and the enjoyment of the island's music and gastronomy.
Transportation and insurance for the activity are covered by the Senior and Social Services departments of the City Council.
The activity is primarily aimed at members of the Santa Brígida Municipal Senior Club. Should there be available spots, they may be filled by the general public until capacity is reached.
Registrations must be made in person on Wednesday, August 26th, and Thursday, August 27th, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, or until all available places are filled. Presenting the membership card will be essential to complete the registration.
It is expected to be a day to reconnect and enjoy tradition, music, and companionship.
