Five arrested in Telde following two anti-drug operations

National Police seize over a kilogram of hashish and cocaine during preventive security checks in the municipality.

The National Police have arrested five people in Telde during two separate operations against drug trafficking, seizing over a kilogram of hashish and various amounts of cocaine.

The first operation took place on May 1st on the Tufia road. During a routine vehicle check, officers discovered a container with cocaine hidden inside a car, leading to the arrest of one of the occupants.
The second operation occurred on May 7th on another public road in the municipality. After noticing a vehicle attempting to evade a checkpoint, officers identified the four occupants. A search of the car revealed a bag containing ten pieces of hashish, along with smaller amounts of the drug found among the individuals' belongings.

The total haul from both operations amounts to 1,002.96 grams of hashish and 104 grams of cocaine. Additionally, 778.56 euros in cash and a counterfeit 20-euro note were seized. The detainees have been handed over to the competent judicial authority to proceed with the legal process.
