Officers from the National Police have arrested five men in Telde during two citizen security operations carried out on May 1st and May 7th.

The first intervention took place during a preventive checkpoint on the Tufia road. While inspecting a vehicle, officers discovered a container with cocaine and an additional bag containing more of the same substance, along with hashish and cash. One of the vehicle's occupants was arrested on the spot.
The second operation occurred days later on a public street in Telde. After observing a vehicle attempting to evade the police checkpoint, officers identified the four occupants. Due to their visible nervousness, a thorough search of the vehicle was conducted.
Inside the car, hidden between the seats, officers found a bag containing ten pieces of hashish, each weighing approximately 100 grams, along with smaller amounts and cash. In total, both operations resulted in the seizure of 1,002.96 grams of hashish and 104 grams of cocaine.
In addition to the narcotics, 778.56 euros in cash and a counterfeit 20-euro note were seized. The five detainees have been handed over to the competent judicial authority to continue the legal proceedings.
