Two hooded youths attempted to rob a bakery in the San José neighborhood of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria last Thursday, June 4th, but the employee's quick reaction foiled the robbery.

What could have been a serious armed robbery ended up being a scare for a bakery employee in the San José neighborhood of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Two hooded individuals approached the employee shortly after her shift began and threatened her with a pistol, intending to steal the day's takings.
The employee, remaining calm, managed to push one of the assailants and retreat to the storage room, from where she called for help. The incident occurred around seven in the morning on Thursday. The criminals fled upon realizing their plans had been thwarted.
The National Police has launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators of the attempted robbery. According to the victim's description, they were two males, approximately 25 years old, wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.
The assailants approached the establishment shortly after it opened and, without fully entering, threatened the employee with what appeared to be a firearm, placing it at her head. It is unknown whether the weapon was real or a replica, as it disappeared with the suspects without any shots being fired.
The woman, after pushing one of the aggressors during a moment of distraction, locked herself in the storage room, thus thwarting the men's intentions, according to establishment sources. She then called the police, who arrived quickly, but the assailants had already fled.
