The Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands has extended the deadline for applying for grants and aid for university and higher artistic studies until August 16th.

The application period for grants and aid for undergraduate, master's, and higher artistic studies at public institutions, corresponding to the 2026-2027 academic year, has been extended by ten additional calendar days. The deadline for submitting applications, initially set for August 6th, has now been moved to August 16th.
This new date is intended to make it easier for students to complete their applications during the summer period. This year's grant program includes significant new features, such as an increase in the housing allowance to 3,000 euros and the inclusion of public higher artistic studies.
Furthermore, grants for academic excellence and the "second chance" initiative, which allows students who have changed their degree program to access a grant, remain in place. Interested students can complete the application process through the electronic portal of the Government of the Canary Islands.
