The head of the Local Police in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has announced her decision to voluntarily step down from her position, a request confirmed by the City Council and set to become effective shortly.

The official, who has led the municipal security force since 2019, submitted her voluntary resignation request this Monday, May 4. This decision, which will take effect in the coming days, marks the end of her tenure at the helm of the institution in the Gran Canarian capital.
During her leadership, the chief has guided the Local Police in critical areas such as citizen security and mobility management within Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
