The official, who has led the municipal security force since 2019, submitted her voluntary resignation request this Monday, May 4. This decision, which will take effect in the coming days, marks the end of her tenure at the helm of the institution in the Gran Canarian capital.
During her leadership, the chief has guided the Local Police in critical areas such as citizen security and mobility management within Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

According to the council, her work has contributed to strengthening the Local Police and improving coexistence in the municipality."
As of now, the reasons for her departure have not been disclosed, nor has the identity of the person who will assume leadership of the force after the transition.
