This initiative is designed to equip citizens with tools to better understand their emotions, cope with daily difficulties, and promote personal well-being. The workshop is led by psychopedagogue Arminda Meliá and is based on the idea that while we cannot always change external circumstances, we can learn to change our perspective and response to them.
The workshop encourages self-knowledge and emotional intelligence, inviting participants to connect with their inner world and discover new ways of relating to themselves and others. The first session took place on September 15 at the Asociación Las Floreras in La Angostura.
Upcoming sessions include: Monday, September 21, at the Cataifa Neighborhood Association (La Atalaya); Tuesday, September 22, at the Las Tres Cruces Neighborhood Association (El Gamonal); Tuesday, September 29, at the El Parral Neighborhood Association (Llano María Rivera); and Monday, October 5, at the Las Calderas Neighborhood Association (Pino Santo Alto). All sessions will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, except for September 21, which will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Through this program, Social Services aims to bring emotional learning to various neighborhoods within the municipality, creating spaces for reflection and connection. The goal is for attendees to acquire resources to face personal challenges from a more conscious and positive perspective, understanding that changing one's outlook can be the first step towards desired transformation.
