UD Las Palmas has decided to bet on continuity within its youth academy structure, ratifying Juan Manuel Rodríguez as head of Las Palmas Atlético and confirming José Antonio Robaina and Héctor Nuez in their respective teams.

After securing the reserve team's permanence in the Segunda RFEF, UD Las Palmas has confirmed the renewal of Juan Manuel Rodríguez as the head of Las Palmas Atlético. The veteran coach from the capital, born in 1958, will thus begin his seventh spell leading the yellow reserve team, spread across three different cycles (1995/1996, 2017/2022, and 2026/2027).
Rodríguez, who previously managed the first team of UD Las Palmas in 125 official matches and assisted in the promotion to Segunda in 1995-96, took over the reserve team following the dismissal of Raúl Martín. He managed to secure four crucial points in the final two league matches, ensuring the survival of the team known as the Vela Chica.
The commitment to stability extends to other youth academy benches. José Antonio Robaina (Telde, 1976) will embark on his fourth season with Las Palmas C, a team that returned to Tercera Federación and reached the final of the Copa José Antonio Ruiz Caballero. Meanwhile, Héctor Nuez (Teror, 1981) will continue at the helm of the U19 A team, following a historic season where they were crowned undefeated champions of División de Honor and reached the Final Four of the Copa de Campeones.
Furthermore, Suso Hernández will maintain his role in coordinating the High Performance Stage. The various youth academy teams will commence their preparations for the upcoming season next July, with exact dates yet to be confirmed.
