This project, the first comprehensive update since 2017, aims to resolve operational issues caused by the corrosive marine environment. The new equipment allows for targeted messages to be broadcast in specific zones, improving the management of beach safety alerts.
The system, which involved a municipal investment of 55,000 euros, is designed to provide clearer sound quality. In addition to live announcements, it includes automated recordings regarding beach rules, such as the smoking ban and waste recycling guidelines.
“"The new system was a long-desired and hard-worked aspiration because it has not been simple; the marine environment does not help at all in maintaining communication systems."
The speakers have been installed along the promenade, covering strategic points including Tenerife, Gran Canaria-La Palma, Gomera, Pedro del Castillo, Tomás Miller, Bernardo de la Torre, Playa Chica, Kant-Galileo, Olof Palme-El Cid, Velarde, California-Perú, and Lepanto-Párroco Rodríguez streets.
